Kapil Sharma and his show The Kapil Sharma Show have been gaining strength to strength with every passing day. The show which was launched in end-December last year, has been winning the TRP race, much like the previous stints. One of the main reasons for its success has been the turnaround in the life of the show’s host, Kapil. Vouching for it is comedian Bharti Singh.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Bharti, who also features in the show as Titli Bhabhi, said Kapil has become more disciplined. She added how he is always on time at sets now. She was quoted as saying: “He comes on the sets cut to cut, and is always on time. We always finish the shoot on time and I always think that Ginni is very lucky and she is very sweet. She sends food not just for Kapil, but also for all of us.”
Bharti also appreciated Ginni for the change in Kapil’s lifestyle and said, “Ginni is taking great care of Kapil, right from yoga to sending him to the gym to boiled vegetables and everything else. Kapil bhai has also become very calm and patient.”
Meanwhile, Kapil’s show showed an upward swing in January itself, securing fifth position in January 2019. A report from Broadcast and Research Council had placed the show on the fifth position in the first week of 2019.
However, the show hit a road block post the dastardly attack on CRPF convoy in February this year where more than 40 jawans were killed. When asked, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is a minister in Punjab government and a judge on Kapil’s show, had said a nation cannot be held responsible for the acts of terrorists. This led to a huge backlash with people calling for a boycott of the show.
Archana Puran Singh had replaced Sidhu as judge for a few episodes. Clearing the air, Kapil has said at an event in Chandigarh that there was a need to find a solution to the issue of terrorism so that attacks like Pulwama don’t happen but such kind of propaganda (to remove Sidhu) was not right.
He also added that Archana had to step in as Sidhu was caught up with his commitments.
