Health Minister Shivanand. S. Patil visited Siddaganga hospital in Tumakuru and enquired about the health of the seer of Siddaganga Mutt Shivakumara Swami on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters on the premises of the hospital, Mr. Patil said that the seer is recovering and praised the team of doctors who are taking care of him.
He said that a team of doctors headed by the director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology in Bengaluru, C.N. Manjunath, will visit Siddaganga hospital and examine the seer on Friday( January 11).
Meanwhile, Dr.Shivakumara Swami’s personal physician Paramesh said that the seer is recovering slowly but the recovery is not as per the expectations of the doctors. The protein level is still lower than the normal level. The surgery wound of liver bypass has healed and the infection has come down. But due to his age, his body is not producing red blood cells properly. Right now the albumin is 3.1 which is less than the normal level. The decrease will result in the accumulation of water in the lungs, said Dr. Paramesh.
Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy called the junior seer of Siddaganga Mutt, Siddalinga Swami, and enquired about the health of 111-year-old Dr. Shivakumara Swami.
